went in and bought a 2009 santa fe and two days later the sales person called and said they would like a bigger cash payment and this is after they found out that i had 8o percent of credit avalible. not sure why they thought i would take out a card to pay the extra fee but the got a huge surprise when i gave them back the key to Sante fe and said the deal is off and would like to take my trade in back. I will still buy a Sante Fe but it will not be from Rick case .. really bad time with this business. never let a dealership try to take you and they will. 35b42f1

Went to this dealership on 11/16/11 to purchase a sonata but ended up looking at a new 2012 Elantra. I had the financing done through my bank and made it clear to them that I was not looking to finance from them because of the my relationship with my bank. Everything was OK. I filled out the paperwork and was told I had to provide my SSN because they need to verify identify following what took place on 9/11. I was OK with this because of the importance following the horrific events in 2001. When it was time to get the bill of sale to take to my bank, their finance person came in to offer competitive financing and I made it clear I was not interest and thank them anyway. All the paperwork was completed and they were allowing me to take the car home, which I found odd as the money from my bank was not in their hands. When the bill was printed, i was then told if I was going to put cash down in order to take the car home and I said no, and if that was the case, I can pickup the car when my bank provided payment to give to them. The next thing I was asked to do was to sign a backup contract at a 8.99% that was almost twice of what I got via my bank, in case I disappeared to FL and I would not be bringing the car back. I found it fishy and I told them I would leave it and come back to tomorrow. On 11/7/11 I got an alert from Identity Guard, which I’m a current member of, informing that a credit request to Equifax was processed by the dealership, after I specifically made clear I didn't want or authorized. I have placed a dispute with Equifax and this dealership has lost my business!! We thought about moving ahead and purchasing a Tuscon in December after it was shown to us. DEFINITELY WILL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH A PLACE THAT HAS UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!!.
